The San Francisco based startup is a brainchild of its author and CEO Bastian Lehmann. Launched in the year 2011, the thought for Postmates was to interface retailers to the clients as relatively few retailers could bear the cost of free conveyances. While a few retailers can’t bear the cost of conveyances, other giant stores don’t permit nearby day by day conveyances as they have a different online store which is worked halfway. Lehmann had already worked with mobile communication companies. With the help of co-founders Sean Plaice and Sam Street, they initially developed an app to basically deliver conventionally undeliverable items like furniture items & bikes to customers. It was restricted to only vendors at first, however to make it prominent, they introduced an end user interface as well.
